Joan of Arc (Jeanne d'Arc in French), the Maid of Orléans, was a young sherpherdess who, called by God, came to help the Dauphin of France Charles VII to be crowned in the Cathedral of Reims as the only king of France. From victories to victories, her run of successes help the French to trust in their power again and to repel the English invader.
But as glorious and brave as she was, her lack of support by the king and the jealousy from his advisors made her vulnerable as she only had a small troop with her. Captured by the Burgundians, handed over to the English, she was condemnded for witchcraft and burnt alive in the city of Rouen at the age of 19. Rehabilitated in 1456, She is considered as France's greatest heroine.

-May the 8th 1429 : Joan won the battle of Orléans and ended the English siege

-July the 17th 1429 : Coronation of Charles VII at the cathedral of Reims

-May the 23rd 1430 : Joan is hurt and captured by the Burgundians during the battle of Compiègne

-November the 21st 1430 : Joan is sold to the English for 10,000 £

-from Febuary the 21st to May the 23rd 1431 : Joan of Arc's trial by the bishop Pierre Cauchon

-May the 30th 1431 : Condemned for witchcraft, Joan is burnt alive in the city of Rouen by the English

-1456 : Rehabilitation of Joan of Arc

-April the 18th 1909 : Joan of Arc is beatified by the Vatican

-May the 16th 1920 : Joan of Arc is canonized by the Vatican
